Artist’s Notes:
This handscroll depicts the Buddhist belief in the impermanence of all living things. It is read right to left. The Chinese characters are read from top to bottom. The top two characters signify “Impermanence.” The next three characters signify “Land, Beauty, Asia” and create the artist’s name “Delia.” The seal represents Ch’i or life energy.

Grace
Teabag book
Exhibited in Hope & Creativity During the Time of Covid
Ink, watercolor, xuan (rice paper), cotton thread
Artist’s Notes:
To create Grace, a teabag book, I started by painting a plum blossom painting. I cut the painting into 8 panels. Then I folded each panel, or page, into the shape of a pleated teabag. Finally I bound the pages together with cotton thread.
